Message from Campaign Chairs

Suzanne and Walter Scott, Jr.

Our family's involvement with Uta Halee Girls Village goes all the way back to Walter's mother, Mildred, who for many years was a dedicated volunteer. Sue has carried on that tradition through past service on the Board of Directors, and is currently a member of the Endowment Board. Uta Halee's work in rebuilding the lives of young women is a mission unique in our community and one that has always been close to our hearts.

Heidi's grandmother said that little girls are God's intention that the world goes on. Acts of violence perpetrated against young women are horrifying and can lead to permanent damage. Without a resource like Uta Halee, these children would remain broken forever. That's not God's will. It's incumbent upon us to make sure resources are in place to help these children heal.

As the only residential psychiatric treatment facility for young women in the region, Uta Halee provides vital resources. It is our privilege to provide leadership for this campaign. We hope you will join us in supporting this organization and its mission.
