Message from Uta Halee's President

Denis McCarville

Dear Friends:

Uta Halee Girls Village has provided hope and a healing environment for our community's young women for more than 57 years. Uta Halee is the state's only gender-specific psychiatric residential treatment facility with services offered in a continuum of care. We serve young women who are at risk to not reach adulthood.

Many of these girls have experienced the trauma of abuse or neglect, and most are unable to function within their own homes, schools and communities.

Our $7.5 million campaign, Centering on Mind, Body & Spirit: A Campaign for Wellness, will help us enhance our campus to continue to provide a healing environment designed to prepare these young women to return to the community as productive citizens.

With the help of excellent leadership and dedicated volunteers, we are raised a large portion of the funds that are needed to serve these girls as best we can, but we're not all the way there yet.

I would like to thank Sue and Walter Scott as well as Heidi and Jeff Wilke for their efforts. On behalf of the girls served by Uta Halee, I am pleased to extend this invitation to support this community-wide effort.

Best Wishes,
Denis D. McCarville,
President/CEO
